Had accident recently on front wing, insurance garage messed repair up, so i took it to a skoda approved repairer and im still not happy.

Is it easy to adjust the wing as when I complained about the allignment I was told they couldnt alter it any better.

Is it something very noticable or would the average person not notice? Reason I ask is, it might be better to trade/sell the car and start afresh.

What's the problem exactly? Shutlines/and/or alignment to A pillar? Which one?

If the repair depot that the insurance company authorised has done a bad job, simply write and send by recorded delivery a letter stating that you are not satisfied with the quality of workmanship and that you will not accept the poor repair of your car.

Insist that the insurance companies engineer contacts you to arrange an inspection at your address, point out the unsatisfactory repair and get him to agree with your findings and insist that the work is carried out at a Skoda repair depot of your choice and that they foot the bill for a courtesy car.

If it means scrapping the wing and starting afresh, then so be it. You pay their full insurance premium, therefore you expect a fully acceptable repair.

Dig your heels in, don't accept a second rate job.

That's what I did and I got results, I will not allow any insurance company to dictate where my cars are repaired.

Unfortunately i did all that and its the second garage that i chose although they did a better job i think the wing has more adjustment left in it as it doesnt match other side. Might just get engineers out again to get their opinion.

It's probably not a genuine Skoda wing then, but a cheapo pattern type, if so, insist on a genuine Skoda part.
