Fitting a rear dog guard in Fabia Estate

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hoping you can offer some advice on the following:

I would like to buy a rear dog guard for my Fabia Estate, a genuine Skoda one, but on the description it states you require a special m8 rivet tool to mount part of the frame.

MY current Octy has one fitted but it mounts to the rear boot eyelets on the sides so no tool required, despite the dealership trying to charge me to fit it and stating 'a special tool was required' that special tool turned out to be an allen key.....

Is this correct is there really a 'special tool' to fiot the Fabia guard?

Can i do the job with out riveting anything?

Anywhere i can go to get it done, other than a dealership which charge £66 quid....

Thanks in advance guys
