1.6 elegance DSG - photos to follow.

Just picked it up from the dealers and taken it for a short blast on the motorway.

Having gone from a 2.0 140 you can feel the power difference, however I noted some of my rpm on e 2.0, and the 1.6 seems to be lower at high speeds.

Very comfortable, and lots of gadgets to get used to.

There is, hard to find tho, when it asks for town/city look in bottom left corner, postcode tab appears!!

Do you happen to have a URL for the update of the maps as it says in the manaul to ask your dealer, but they did not know.

what fuel economy are you getting from the 1.6 DSG - I see from matt pez/timoctav that they getting 56+mpg from 2.0tdi 6 sp man.

i have now done 819 'long term', which is quite low mileage for me in two weeks!!

 

Currently since my last fill up, details are as follows.

 

LONG TERMS avg 27mpH - Av 49.5mpg

 

Since REfuelling - av 36mph Av - 52.2mpg

 

tomorrow I will be doing about 250 miles, and then friday a further 200 most of which is motorway driving,

 

I am running the car in ECO mode,

 

remember, mine is a DSG.

when you look at the "official" figures 1.6 DSG should still be more economical than the 2.0 manual.

Hope there are a few 'cobwebs' still and wi be opening her up tomorrow so look to getting a much better return on the next tank.
