Is it possible to change the navigation voice to a female one? My mk3 had a female voice, my mk4 has a male voice.

Sold my mk3 to friends on Tuesday! It had been my best Octavia I'd ever owned! Car 9 on owners register thread. It did object on the day, as the microswitch that opens the boot failed! I picked up a mk4 on Wednesday! It's my 5th Octavia since 1999.

Thanks everyone, now sorted, contacted skoda digital services, they messaged me back. Yes it was my email & app password & the 2 keys.

I've created an account downloaded Skoda essentials & Skoda apps, but I haven't been sent a Skoda ID, I have an email titled Skoda ID but apart from one for Skoda themselves, I don't appear to have one. So unable to activate. Rang dealer, mentioned it to them, he said try Skoda's ID.

Just collected my new to me mk 4, 1.5tsi SE L, 9 months old on a 23 plate. Was told about the app, it wants me to activate my car & become primary user, I've stopped short of this, concerned I might mess up the infotainment system! Do I really need to do it?

I usually use Megs Gold Class, at the moment I'm using Megs Ultimate wash & wax which smells of pineapple & does a great job with plenty of shine! Bought large bottle when shop was out of stock of gold class, impressed with both!

Maybe that's what it is then!

My Octavia is in the dealers today for a small job, (driver's door safety light stopped working). When I took it in this morning, I was told they also wanted to do a "product upgrade", on the Tailgate/boot dampeners, so that's being done as well, I asked again if they'd do the satnav update, but got same answer, "you do that yourself" I haven't done mine from new, put off by the owners on here saying they had difficulty!

Think your right about being baked on in the Sun, my Dad found the egg by the car a couple of days ago,but forgot to tell me!

The bonnet has 2 areas of paint damage now, nasty stone chip, (quoted £360+vat) now this, body shop that gave quote, said bonnet & wings would have to be done to match in. Cars only approaching a year & 4 months old (13 plate, 6100 miles)

Thanks, me too! Seems somone tried to wipe it off, don't know who, or exactly what happened, but found egg shell on bonnet, & was told a semi intact egg was found on path in front of car a couple of days ago!!!

Yes along with the person who wiped it off!!! Saw mark on bonnet this morning, looked like someone had wiped something off car, I found 3 bits egg shell on bonnet, told a partly smashed egg was picked up from the path in front of my car a couple of days ago!!! No idea who did it, or wiped it off!!!

Discovered that some thoughtless idiot had thrown an egg at the car this morning, happened sometime this week, been cycling to work, only found it this morning!!! Paint damaged!!!
