Symphony stereo help

Featured Replies

Basically. Iv come to take out my stereo today to swap fr an aftermarket system. Iv got the manual with the serial number sticker with the stereo code. All good so far

Next i took the stereo out had a look at it before removing and found that the serial number doesnt match the manual number

I take it that the code will not work?? And i do not want to remove it to check incase i cant get the thing working again lol

How do i go about getting a code if it is not the right one?

the car should have the code stored in the ecu so should automatically put the code in ....

but if it hits the fan you can take it to a dealer / someone with vcds and they should be able to sort it for you

Any idea on a price a dealer would charge?

at ford on a ford £20 for around 1 minutes work lol skoda .... im not so sure

Had mine out recently to install a connects2, when i plugged it back in it said 'safe'. Put key in ignition and it unlocked the radio, yours should do the same, as said above i think its stored in the ecu.
