Damaged lower left wishbone (control arm)

Featured Replies

Hit quite a bad pothole the other day which caused a small chip on the rim but other than that I thought it was fine until today I noticed that the wheel is rubbing on the back of the wheel arch when turning, looked underneath and the control arm is bent causing the wheel to move backwards.

Is it advised to replace these in pairs even though the right one is fine?

also would you recommend these of ebay.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-00-FRONT-LOWER-LEFT-CONTROL-WISHBONE-ARM-/121005114988?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Model%3AFabia&hash=item1c2c77866c

or the OEM ones.. http://www.skodaparts.com/product/front-wishbone-fabia-2000-2007-34822

which are obviously a lot more in price, so are they worth the money or will the ebay ones do the job?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried eurocarparts? Use PARTS25 as the discount code.

Thanks they have it for £30.60, the code doesn't work but still not sure weather to replace both or just the one

its your choice but just one will okay. Its only shocks and brake parts that you need to change in pairs.

Thats cause theres a sale on so will be discounted already

I would change the pair and I would put genuine ones on.

The bush will wear causing different characteristics to the other side

Genuine because of bad previous experience with non genuine parts, especially wishbones not being the exact right size causing tracking problems. Your money though...
