Unkonwn connector near the left fog lamp unplugged (pic inside)

Featured Replies

I opened up my left fog lamp to change the bulb and saw that there was an connector that was unplugged/not connected. I was wondering if any one knows what this connector is for?

My car is a pre LCI

External temperature sensor. There is a bracket with a corresponding hole towards the centre of the front bumper.

I taped the sensor to the bumper. I was wondering why the maxidot was showing the temperatures of around 50 C. This makes sense now

You will need to fix it into a hole just next to the LHS Fog Lamp, pointing outwards so that it is exposed to air outside, else the temperature will still read crazy numbers.
