Do I need a FMIC?

Featured Replies

My Fabia has got a hybrid turbo and has been remapped. Its at 170bhp but was originally 100ps

Do I need a FMIC?

There is no doubt it will benefit you thats for sure!

Depends if you want any more than 170bhp and depends what the turbo's capable off!

Unsure of the 100bhp injectors so you may need 130/150 injectors too

Thank you. I forgot to mention. It does have PD150 injectors too. I dont think I'll go anymore than 170bhp. Not sure if the 100ps is capable of being tuned that much!

Do you think at 170bhp with the pd150 injectors the components will be ok without the FMIC.

Will i only really NEED one if going above 170?

Thank you for your swift reply! :)

If you got an fmic and an uprated clutch -maybe you already have one? (5speed clutches are relatively cheap compared to 6speed)

It will acheive over 200bhp with a map tweek which would be nice!

And i think the 100 uses the same smic as the 130 so will be fine at 170bhp

200bhp sounds interesting! That's going to have to come a lot later. I'll stick with the 170bhp seeing as it should cope there without any extra cooling.

Thank you for your response!

You should get a comfortable 220bhp, 230bhp if its screwed right up! Which would surprise a lot of ppl!

Id be blowing the shizz out of fabia vrs's for giggles

Thats insane, cant comprehend having that much! To get that would the map just have to be tweaked?

(clutch and FMIC of course too)
