Whilst checking if i had an MDI socket in my glovebox i came across a round switch with an 0 and a kind of frost symbol on it, i thought it might be the switch for the glovebox light but this remained on when i turned the switch, any ideas only i thought it might be a glove box chiller switch but i thought that was in the arm rest box, my cars an 'MY08' elegance if that helps..

turn it to frost when the air con is on and it sends cool air to the glove box. 'O' is for off and closes the flap.

Can be useful. Just remember it'll also warm if you leave it open and your heating is on!

 

You've also got a chilled armrest, presume you have an armrest as standard on that model?

I found this old thread since it is somewhat related to an issue I have. The previous owner broke the cooling bezel switch and covered the hole with some foam. I however would like to put the original switch back in place. Any ideas? Cannot find it for the life of me anywhere for sale. I guess I am using the wrong words when searching? It must be a 1.5€ item in Aliexpress I am sure.
