Rear seat help needed :( octavia vrs mk2 facelift

Featured Replies

So over last weekend i drove to Wolfsburg for my mates stag do. we managed the whole 590 miles there and about 550 miles back with a single incident.

5min before calais one of the other guys in the back decides to let me know that he has dropped his ciggarette and burnt a small hole in my seat.

the ciggarette managed to burn a small hole in the white alcantara front on the rear bench seat ( drivers side ) so on the 60% split of the rear bench.

ive contacted skoda for a price on a new rear cover for the bench seat and they want £475 + vat :S

does any one on here know of any good trimmers that would be able to replace just the bit of white alcantara or is anyone breaking a mk2 facelift octavia vrs that would be willing to sell me the bench seat??

many thanks.

Might be worth taking it to an upholsterer's place & seeing if they can patch it using a bit taken from an inconspicuous spot somewhere else on the seat, like the back edge.  They must be used to dealing with the same problem on household furniture.

Smokings a filthy ****ing habit; one I woulnt let my mates smoke in my car,two if one of them did and burnt my car seat they'd be paying to fix it....and before anyone says anything I'm a reformed smoker myself. Somethinf ive just never really been able to abide smoking in cars, dangerous particularly if youre driving and you're killing your occupants as well as yourself, very selfish. I hope they ban smoking in cars altogether soon.
