Hi

yellow engine management light EML popped up last week just after starting from cold & driving about quarter of mile - remained on after switching off/on

just checked code with my ScangaugeII and it shows code P242B which searching web suggests "Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor" ???

cleared code with Scangauge

will see it it reports again

glow plug warning lamp now flashing

ive had 2 exhaust sensors malfunction

 

1 year after ownership the exhaust temperature sensor went.

 

2 years after ownership the exhaust pressure sensor went.

 

i believe these are known faults with skoda but they didnt bother to inform me.

 

i had the same lights on the dash but the car was still driveable.
