Battery died and reset my windows?

Featured Replies

My battery died today in my elegance 1.9 tdi.

Was walking towards the car after work and held the unlock button down on the keyfob (its roasting here today)

AS per usual all the windows started to go down then stopped about half way.

Thinking nothing of it I jumped in and tried to start it but it was dead.

Got a booster pack and jumped it no probs. Only think now is that when im driving I used to be able to press a window button firmly down and then let go the window continued to open.

Just a niggle but it doesn't do it anymore and want to know how to fix it?

Also with side lights on, is there meant to be an alarm if you get out of the car with them on?

Cheers again!

To sort the windows all you need to is hold the down button and keep on holding it for a couple of seconds after the window goes all the way down then do the same putting the window back up.

I'm pretty sure you should get a warning if you open the door with either the parking lights on (indicator stalk left up or down) or the sidelights on (headlight dial turned on one setting).
