hi all

ive just had a new asv fitted after my 1.9 tdi pd  has been playing up, we had checked the fuse on advise from the forums and had it hooked up on a diag machine it was found to be the unit at fault.

fitted a new 1 yesterday and the em light went out for a while. then came back on, then off, now its back on and stayed on.

the car still shudders when engine stopped and doesn't cut off as it should so i'm assuming its not solved the problem.

does anyone know if these things have to be reset or anything please?

Pretty sure they need calibrating. Running the output test on VCDS whilst watching the flap should give you some idea of what is going off, and may calibrate it as well
