Steering wheel started to shake

Featured Replies

As soon as i hit 60mph my steering wheel shakes like mad.Seems that it started after i had all my discs and pads replaced. Is it just tracking ?

i had the same problem when i 1st replaced the bushes in the bottom arms.

mine was fine after the 4 wheel alignment but if it continues to do it you might need the wheels balencing too

shaking I normally put to improper tyre balancing.  Maybe a wheel has shed a weight?

Tracking rarely manifests itself in a shaking steering wheel from my experience.

Ok,cheers. Will get it checked out as it's driving me nuts.Going to end up with white finger if i dont !

try swapping the tyres front to back and see if that makes a difference.

How old are the tyres too?  They can also get flattened/mis-shaped as they age.

Not long left on the fronts, will swap tomorrow and see what happens.

Mine shakes only when accelerating, fine when you level out your speed. what could that be?

Well i swapped over and the shake on the front has gone but little feel on the back now so defo balancing.
