Dyno Day @ CCTuning - Results

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

First, thanks to binzie aka Steve for getting this going.

Also thanks to Chris at CCTuning, such a genuine guy and more than happy to talk about cars :)

If anyone had turned up they would have seen a pd130 lump run 280bhp+, in tweaking stage lol.

Car stats - PD150 Hybrid Stage 2, turbo back exhaust, fmic, egr delete, map still in tweaking stage.

Looks like a nice map mate :) but aren't stage 2 hybrids supposed the be 220+ ? Not being an arse but don't think I've seen a hybrid put out the power there supposed to yet !

I hit 218 with a stage 2 gt20 pd130 hybrid so the figures are out there!

Maybe Joel's mapped to save his standard clutch.

Looks a dip at 3k rpm!

My leon did this and it turned out to be a fudged MAF sensor!

Id say you maybe have the same issue

With a new MAF i overcame the dip at 3k rpm and gained an extra 12bhp!

Id look at the MAF sensor

Sorting pics now  :giggle:  :giggle:

+1 jase my graph was like this did 159 with a poop'd maf and then with a new one hit 177 with a new one !

This was mine on a bad MAF sensor

Notice the dip at 3k rpm

It made 186bhp and 280lb/ft

And you really could tell on the road, felt flat as a pancake with a massive dip!

Anyways new MAF and it got 198bhp and 338lb/ft and feels 10x faster, no massive blip at 3k rpm either

ive just picked up a PD150 to go one mine yesterday, hope it'll make around the 200 mark

You running the helix clutch in yours jase? I'm gunna have to limit mine to what it's at now, 300ftLb's until I get a new clutch I think.

Maf has been deleted

Maf has been deleted

does that mean you have actually removed the maf off the car as well or is it just in the map mate? Was thinking about this myself as its a dear doo if they keep going all the time lol

Its still on the car just mapped out.

Mapping is still in very much "tweaking" mode lol. Clutch can handle anything, running a helix. Im after usable power at the moment rather than peak figures. We thought is may be the N75, changed the box and had slight improvements seen via vag com.

Any recommendations on the piping for the n75, tried to silicon but fear now it may be the cause of the problems despite being sold as up for the job !!

Yeah thats mine on a pd150

Its not maxxed though only running 1.6 bar so more is possible! The 2nd rr is an accurate one as it was an rr day and standard cars were running standard power. Also my stage 1 fabia ran 173bhp there so is know to be relatively accurate

Still running standard clutch! Car had a new box at 95k along with new stock clutch and fly before i got it so its holding the power perfectly right now! No slip

But then again i use the power up the range rather than the low down grunt

Here's my graph from the stage 2 pd130 just for ref.

I think my mappers RR is fairly accurate as well, mine did 131bhp standard with a bigger intake so I'd say it was pretty accurate, my clutch holds fine now unless I put my foot down in 5th or 6th at low rpm so think ill just go for the all out map and if the clutch goes it goes !

Mine made 198 on a low boost map, now I've had it turned up it makes 220bhp more or less, there are plenty of posts of people running 200bhp+ on a hybrid.

yeh but I've never seen anything run 220 -240 on a hybrid which they say they can make that's what I was getting at, not a dig at anyone with a hybrid just think they are overestimated a bit

Just a quick question the engine torque where it reads 409 nm is that 409 ft-lbs of torque?

converts to 301 FtLb

converts to 301 FtLb

Cheers, how do you know that, just so I know in future

newton metre to Foot pound convertor on google haha

Ahhhhh haha my bad

whose was the approaching 300hp PD130? :)
