Turbo Intercooler pipe - should it leak a little? HELP

Featured Replies

hey skoda fans,

i have a 57 plate octavia vrs petrol 2.0 T

bought from skoda uk, approved used.

im the kind of guy that looks over the entire car when bought just for 'piece of mind' - noticed the turbo intercooler pipe ( bend down in front of car bonnet and just inside driver front wheel, rubber hose goes into metal pipe) was leaking oil round the seal.

so back to dealers, fixed - all good. this was 3 weeks ago

tonight, nothing better to do , back down under the car, the seal has a wee residue of oil/water mix which hasnt dropped onto my driveway yet but would have had i not wiped it clean.

Question:  does this seal 'weap' as part of the sealing process?

Im no mechanic so if its meant to 'weap' fine but if not back to the dealer but this time with proper complaint

cant a main dealer just do a proper job? really....ffs....
