1.8T what oil pressure they meant to run at? cold start and warm idle please

When i start it my little gauge is rite up lol

About 20-30 it looks like when warm lol

And i think its about 60 first started

60-70 iirc

Thats trying to picture where needles are

Started up

And very warm and standing

Had a go a spanking google, lots of search terms, bugger all answers

 

Best I could find was circa 60-70 psi cold, circa 25 psi warm idle as per Lloyds car

My sender must be rubbish, mine reads 0 on idle and no more than 30-40 when on power.

yeah i had a go on google useless! hmmmmm im same as lloyd,other than cold start im nudging 100psi

Ummmm..... Iirc the bills usually say 5w40 ?

he usually uses oem quantum i think

But im sure ive seen edge on there

If i did it id use catrol edge

you own a red octy and let some one else do the work!! you must be broke

 

10w40 in mine tbh im not sure how much different grade will effect it,  40psi seems bit excessive :wonder:

Only 40 when all cold n thick

yeah was working well up to mega heat wave then it says ive given you 24hrs trouble free motoring time to strike :sun:

think the senders ok as it performs normally the rest of time idles fine increases with engine revs. not sure
