17'' Skoda Rapid Optional Alloys

Featured Replies

Mechanic at my local dealer bought them off a lady who didn't like the ride of the 17's - she went for 15'' steels lol

I can put you in touch with him if you want them :)

Think he wants £450 - £500.

Tyres are all as new, the car had done 2000 miles and they are 215/40/17 Dunlop Sport maxx

A nice upgrade for Thecko I think? ;)

lol :)

Can't say I'm surprised as the ride on these is pretty awful particularly with the Dunlops! Somewhat spoils the Rapid for me. 16s on Goodyears or Contis is probably the best bet

Funny, because I find the ride on 18's surprisingly fine.

Aftermarket wheel? If so, are they lighter? :)

OZ so maybe, but being a bigger radius I'd be surprised if they are that much lighter.

Tyres are 35 section too.

I'd say my Rapid's ride (same 17s) is better quality than it was on my Roomster Scout (16s) - although the Rapid is firmer it's less crashy. It's a bit jiggly on rippled surfaces, otherwise fine - especially for the large wheels I thought.

To be fair, I'm happy enough with my 15s for the time being (although I'm not replacing the Dunlops with more Dunlops when they're worn down) ... plus I've got other things to buy before I go for any external 'bling' :)

Although on the subject of bling... I must get around to fitting my briskoda sticker!
