My girlfriend would quite like a Fabia but insurance is too much on a vrs for her age.

I was wondering how easy it would be to make another spec Fabia look like a vrs and if anyone has done it?

I know there a few other engine options that would be cheaper to insure.

Front bumper

Rear bumper

Spoiler

And vrs wheels

Then thats it! Not massive changes by any means

Exhaust will need some modifying too i believe

Mite look a bit gay with drums instead of rear brakes though

Plus the quote for a highly modified 1.2 or 1.4 would be just as much as a real one I'd have thought

I didn't find insurance that bad. When I phoned up and told them, I just explained the parts I changed were all genuine skoda dealer parts and came from the same car, just from a higher spec level so they knew it was a vrs bumper.

The exhaust wasn't to bad to fit either, I pretty much a full vrs exhaust on my 1.2 3 cylinder fabia.

I'll put some pics on later or tomorrow of my 1.2 Fabia. It had vrs front and back bumpers, vrs spoiler, vrs alloys and slightly lowers suspension and a vrs exhaust. It looked just like a vrs as you would expect.

The brakes didnt look like much of a problem as you can't really see a great deal through the vrs alloys unless you look close.

You can get the interiors pretty cheap too I think if you wanted to do the inside too

If its a pre facelift Fabia you could find the gt bumper kit. Genuine skoda product and maybe a little more exclusive than the Vrs bumpers. Can be found quite cheap on the bay too

Cost me £100 in parts to change mine. But i put audi tt 16" wheels on originally instead of vrs alloys. And left the spoiler off too.

100 quid cool! Did you buy second hand bits?

Yeah man. Bumpers from here. Ebay for wheels.
