Amundsen user manual missprint?

Featured Replies

In all the documentation I have and on the Navteq website it always states that the navigation SD card goes into slot 2.

When I put my nav card into slot 2 it cannot see it, after 20 minutes it is still searching for navigation data.

When I put it in slot 1 everything works

It came from the factory in slot 1.

What's gannin on like?

Strange the navigation card was in slot 1 in mine and I moved it to slot 2 as per the manual and it works fine - have you tried a normal SD card in that slot - it might be defective.

Thanks, I'm waiting for one to arrive from Amazon so I can put all my music onto it.

I'll have to wait for it to arrive before I can check it fully.

When the nav card was in slot 2 the system knew something was there becuase I the 'safely remove card 2' became active.

How long did it take in Slot 2 to become active when you swapped yours over?

Seconds only. Just gone out to the car and done the process again, removing safely from slot 2 and inserting it in slot 1 then removingsafely from slot 1 and putting it back in slot 2. A few seconds, then "checking navigation data" and navigation working. 10 seconds max after inserting the card.

I read the manual a few weeks ago and saw that the map sd card should be in slot 2 as well. Mine was in slot 1 so I swapped it over and it worked fine? As timoctav said a few seconds for card to register and then that's it!

Thanks guys, I should be able to test my Slot 2 on Saturday.

Don't know why nav card has to be in Slot 2 as mine is fully working in Slot 1!

if it works in Slot 1 leave it there - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. As long as your SD card works in Slot 2 of course.

Yes I agree, it shouldn't matter at all, just so long both slots do work, why does it matter at all?!

Well, both my SD slots work.

But Slot 2 doesn't 'see' the navigation card!

So that'll forever live in Slot 1 - Not sure why all documentation always states that it must be in Slot 2 though!
