Oil

I like to take a can of engine oil with me on long trips. Does anyone know a good place to buy Fuchs Titan Supersyn SL, Longlife Plus (which I understand meets spec VW 506 01)?

I don't know about that particular one - I had a nightmare trying to get some VW 506 01 approved oil for mine yesterday. It's a bit of a trek to my closest Skoda dealer, so I popped into the local SEAT garage. Bloke there tried to sell me some VW 505 00 on the basis that "that's what we use in all our cars" ,and swore blind he'd never heard of anything else. Ended up getting some from the VW dealers themselves for

I needed some on a Sunday. The local BP service station had some of the correct Castrol in stock.

Can't remember the price.
