My new alloys, the wife's not happy

Featured Replies

Got my nice new (to me, refurbished) alloy on my Monte, and the first thing the wife said  (in a condescending whine) was I liked the other ones and I didn't see what the problems was with them' but here goes, a set of OZ Hydra's in anthracite with silver pearl light spokes, it's going in on Saturday to get lowered opinions please

The pictures don't really do the paint justice.

i think she is right.

looks like a squashed up fabia with those for some reason

The backend of the car looks squashed with them on weirdly.. However they do look ok :)

most probably my camera

Nt sure about these mate but will look a lot better lowered

Tempra sorry m8'with wifey on this their gash !

Alloys are a personal choice.

For me they look a bit "old fashioned" or simple.  They don't suit the car.

I'd keep wifey happy and just lower it on the standard alloys which look better IMO

Thanks guys, knew I would get a honest opinion, I'll wait until the car is lowered and re-assess, I was knida going for the simple look as there are so many red Monte's in my area I needed to do something very different to make it stand out!. the reason I got them was so I could refurb the standard alloys (slightly different colour?)

Don't like them either - don't suit the car.

.....congrats on the best thread title of the day..........

Your car, your money.... I'd like to see a few more shots before condemning the alloys.

I like them

They look like the old VW Santa Monicas

Sorry not keen either buddy. Leave it to the wife next time

Ratio of the posted photo doesn't look right, which won't be helping matters.

I'd lower, post some better photos and we'll re-assess :)
