I have a 2006 skoda Octavia 1.9 tdi pd elegance and for the last few weeks I have had nothing but problems the cruise control packed up with a Faulty stalk the dual mass flywheel started knocking the turbo went anything after 80 the car would go into limp mode but once restarted was fine uintil I hit 80 again so I cleaned the turbo out,thjanks mr muscle and that seems fine now the problem I have now is the car is fine starting up and idling fine but once the engine gets hot I get a ticking noise that seems to get worse when revving uintil I go over 1500 rpm anything above that is fine but under 1500rpm the tick is there and increases with the revs I really don't know what this could be any help would be really  um.....helpful also getting bad mpg but I have put this down to either a faulty airflow sensor or having the wrong size tyres on the rear of the car please help

 

Not sure it would be the same, but a ticking noise on mine when the engine was really hot which sounded like valves ended up being the DMF!
