Anyone got any tips for removing the front vRS badge off the grill on the Fabia?

Yeah completely remove the badge and maybe put a new one on as it's looking very old now.

What badge are you trying to fit? A new version of the existing badge? Or a badge from another model?

A vRS badge from another model. The newer type probably.
