New Cols under warranty and DV question!

Featured Replies

I called my local Skoda dealer up on Friday and asked if it had been recalled for the Coils, the lady said 'no' and booked my car in today, so I have 4 new coil packs supplied and fitted for free!

I asked if the diverter/dump valve (standard one) would need changing as it has done 128k, they said 'no' and that they last forever, I thought these should be changed every 40 or 50k as I know the Forge ones need servicing?

If it works it's fine. You'll know when it needs changing.

They are tougher than people make out.

New DV is only £25 & no they certainly don't last forever as many owners will know.

Dave is correct the DV failing will cause boost issues which are obvious.

I would strongly advise you to find a good independent VAG specialists to work on your car. Main dealers rarely fix things they just fit new parts, & if their computer can't tell them whats wrong they are left scratching their heads.

I was a fleet manager many years ago & my experience with main dealers was shocking. Other than for recall work I would never use a main dealer.
