2007 Vrs PD issues...help!

Featured Replies

Hi all, first post.

My Vrs has done 92k with an injector change at about 90k under the recall. Since then, once every 3-400 miles the car will cut out when slowing to a stop. The only light to appear is the battery light, I've never seen the DPF light come on at all. It starts back up first time. However, every time I drive it, the cars hesitant under acceleration and lumpy, normally between 2nd-3rd gear. Most of my driving is motorway and dual carriageway.

I've had a look at the pipe below the EGR valve and its a bit mucky with some deposit on the sides but not overly bad. Using a mirror, the valve is about the save.

Any thoughts? I'd be very grateful for any advice.

There have been instances where this recall has not been done properly.....causing more problems than it cures.

Is your oil level stable?

indeed, mums passat has never run right sine the injector recall was completed

Loads of thrreads on this.

Stalling when coming to a stop is one of the reported post-injector recall faults.

I should know, I suffered this (and many other) issues too.

I'll never know what the garage did in the end to fix the stalling, but after a couple of turbo's, bore wash, poor cold starting in the winter, poor fuel consumption, rising oil levels, diluted engine oil and a knackered DPF I was forced to reluctantly sell my vRS.

I hope yours isn't as bad as mine but a botched injector swap ruined my vRS. The dealer and Skoda UK wanted and tried to help but they were stumped.

Computer said no so that was it.

Get it back and complain ASAP. Check your oil level daily, if its rising then fuel is leaking past the injector seals and diluting the engine oil which is not good. It cost me two turbo's in as many months.

Skoda UK won't admit that they know about these issues but they do.
