Has anyone else noticed a delay from when your foot is taken off the brake pedal to when the lights go off? There is about a 1 sec delay on my Monte. Anyone any ideas as to why that might be?

Does the car happen to have HHC (Hill Hold Control) and that was engaged?

 

maybe try watching again when you are sure it is not operative.

I think ive seen that on my car. It doesnt have HHC at all

No hill assist, but its good to see that I'm not alone with this phenomenon.

Mine does it too. Noticed it last week. I thought it was maybe the switch but decided I would rather a 1 second delay in going off than on. I checked that they come on snappy enough
