Bit of a long shot. :( But if you can get help for Exchange 2003, might as well ask

Our supplier has made a rather important mistake when we ordered a network switch.

Basically, there are two fan kits available for it and we have the wrong one. He cannot get hold of the correct part for another week at least and I need to get the switch up and running.

Does anyone know of a source for a WS-C6K-9SLOT-FAN2 ? The "2" at the end is the all important bit as it's what distinguishes this fan (high speed) from the standard one (identical part number minus the "2" at the end).

I've done a google without much luck yet :(

Any ideas? Clutching straws really :( :( :(

Background: switch is a Cisco Catalyst 6509 (9-slot horizontal chassis). We require the Supervisor 720 engine which whilst offering zillion bps backplane bandwidth, requires this high-speen fan tray to keep it cool. Although the standard keeps the 720 board cool enough - there must be some data comms between them because once booted up, the switch logs a critical alarm which triggers a shutdown 5 minutes later.

If I can have one by say Wednesday, that's a few precious days better than what I've been quoted at the moment.

I wouldn't have thought it was that unusual a part , but it sounds a bit odd that they can't locate one for a week. Hope there are some somewhere in the country
