Just new to this site...

Living in Belgium (I know :( )... Just moved here few weeks ago an no-where can I find out what the standard speaker sizes are. The car will have the 8 speakers.

I will be ordering the car over the next few weeks and am planning the sound system (quality NOT volume) - so am wanting to upgrade the standard speakers but need the dimensions.

Also, does anyone have part numers for strut braces that would fit the vRS?

Fronts are 13cm's

Rears are 10cm's

Si, maybe they are 13 at the front and 10 at the rear on an octy, but not on a fabia vrs :P

See this thread for the fronts. Not too sure about the rears, but if you want SQ, you won't care about the rears

For strut braces, the seat ibiza sport strut brace fits straight on the fabia. Very worthwhile upgrade it is too About

I've chosen the HU (Alpine) so now all I need to do is order the car

Will do that in two weeks time... but delivery times are terrible. If I order it in two weeks, I'll get my vRS end of September :( :(

However, new one is the same but better

The fabia is quite good acoustically as standard. A bit of extra insulation in the boot is good if you plan to add a sub... I still need to insulate the doors, and so will be taking them apart in the near future...

Got a wicked test drive of the Fabia through Brussels (where I work) - brilliant.

Yes, I think sub is called for, again, quality over quantity though! (a smallish Cerwin Vega I think). Good tip on insulating the boot.

Not sure I want to insulate the doors, bit too advanced/ not sure yet if required sonically.

Stuck with one option on the car - go for side airbags or not???? Am getting everything else (barr heated seats), so should maybe just get them too.
