New car cleaning purchases

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Just bought some new kit for cleaning the car. Got some Bilt Hamber snow foam, bilberry wheel cleaner and some chemical guys air freshener. Just have to wait on it being delivered then get out and put it to the test. Any reviews on the Bilt Hamber?

I have some but to be honest its quite old so what i think of mine may be compromised due to its age. I don't know if age affects this product cleaning ability but the stuff i have has been sitting for about 5 years tbh.

However mine comes out fairly thick but doesn't cling all that long, it covers the car in a nice creamy thick foam but by the time Im round the other side of the car it has already pretty much come off. I have tried different storage conditions measurements and ratios and settings on my lance but what I have described is at best with my foam.

I want to try another foam to see if its the way Im setting up my lance / pressure washer etc or just a problem with old foam.

Will update here if I remember when I try some different stuff

Enjoy the Bilberry, a nice product to use!

Are the Valet Pro and Angelwax Bilberrys the same product? Angelwax seems a bit cheaper if so.

Well I managed to put the the kit to the test. Bilt Hamber worked well. Good foam coverage and did cling to the car but not for as long as I hoped. I tried a friends valet pro ph neutral snow foam and could not get it to foam or cling at all. Bilberry was a dream to use. Beats any acid based cleaner hands down. No more nippy skin. Plus the fact it can be diluted is also bonus. Compared to the price of some other brands it is a good buy IMO.

I use Bilt Hamber clay, and it's very good indeed.

What is `nippy skin`?

Me too. I use the `soft` one.

"Nippy skin" when the acid based cleaners get into the wee cuts and scrapes on your hands.
