Fabia alarm goes off when unlocking any other door (other than drivers)

Featured Replies

Hi,

Basically whn you put the key in the door and unlock it it's fine but

When u then push the button on the door near other (.Elextric windows etc) controls and then open any other door the alarm goes off. . Only way to avoid is to unlock then turn on car then u can open the other doors.. Any suggestions!!??

It's a fabia comfort 1.4 X reg. key fobs don't work, manual only. Only bought it yesterday.

Thanks in advance.

To summarise:

Key in door unlock = fine

Open door then press the (unlock other doors) button in car. Then open other doors = alarm on

Way to avoid = turn engine/ignition on before opening other doors.

Confused!!

if the key fobs don't work then that's the problem.......................needs the remote fob to disable the alarm..................standard back-up protocol if remote fails that car door is unlocked by key in lock, then put key in ignition and turn key, key transponder is read by coil around ignition barrel to disable immobiliser and alarm.
