Can i Fit VRS speedo etc?

Featured Replies

Can the vrs instruments, clocks, whatever they're called be fitted easily into my comfort?

Much prefer the dials on the VRS :)

If it's a petrol then the rev counter won't go up high enough for starters

No, its a diesel. :)

Just change the face of the clocks over. The full dash will be abit of a hastle to do with the immobiliser being part of the dash.

Ok, so like the paper behind the plastic?

Is this easily accessible?

Sorry, I've never taken them apart so don't know how easy it is to do, or even if its possible for that matter!

Yes mate. Really easy to do. 8 tabs on the unit itself and then it splits in 2. Put some masking tape on the plastic sheet to Mark where the needles are to retain accuracy. Remove the needles and then the plastic sheet. Replace and reassemble

Sounds easy mate. Thanks for the advise. How do you remove the whole unit? Complete dash out?

Nope, drop the steering wheel. Pull off the trim directly below the dials to get access to 2 torx screws. Undo these and give it a wriggle until it comes free. There are 2 plugs in the back

Thanks bud, going to do this. Just need to get the paper part of the VRS speedo etc :)

Does the vRS speedo not read differently? Didn't think the 100PD goes up to the same as the vRS and it doesn't have the increment change.

It's a bit of a juggle to remove the cluster from behind the steering wheel. You have to either remove the steering wheel or turn it slightly each way whilst removing the cluster. Don't try to use any force as tou will damage the clear plastic screen - I speak from experience :(. You will also need to re-set the dash warning lights which will appear once your have unplugged the clocks.

Possibly. I've seen a Fabia sedan Sid which had the Vrs looking clocks. Not sure if that was standard?
