Build week

Featured Replies

What about you Mike, did you have to chase your dealer for a build week? How soon after order did you get told.

I normally try get the demo cars but went brand new this time so am a bit in the dark as to what happens next...

I kind of knew what I wanted so the salesman done the paperwork and said sales manager would order it and I'd get weekly updates...feel bit lost now :-)

Then dealer put mine on the system the day I ordered it & I just got the usual 12 weeks delivery. I got my first update on build week when I phoned SUK. I also have gone for demo cars but this time will get exactly what I want just have to be patient. It is nice to know the latest info though.

That would be fantastic - to be able to see your actual car in production and at what stage, sure there's someone with the knowledge.

The VW website suggests you can type in your order number and track your cars/orders progress online

You can but it is never up to date www.trackmyskoda.co.UK.

If you put your order number in you should get progress update, but there are threads on here where people have checked only to show no build date yet and the cars have been at Emden ready for shipping. It does say the info might be up to 6 weeks out of date, which seems to say don't bother.

got very excited there, but its only run by 2 or 3 dealers in England, so not by Skoda, and not covering about 90% of the rest of UK

Just been informed by SUK, that I still don't have a confirmed build week. I have asked about Steel Grey, and told them I am not a happy Skoda customer. They will get back to me.

What date did you place your order? I too have steel grey on order & hope mine is built before week 37 when steel grey is no longer available. Interestingly in the latest August brochure steel grey has an asterisk & note only available in stock vehicles. In VRS spec steel grey is showing as available without any restriction. Looks like Skoda are making it an exclusive colour for VRS.
