Reasonably new to this forum but I've learned a lot since coming on here.

I have been 'donated' a 00reg Skoda Fabia 1.4mpi which needs a lot of work done to it.

It has the power steering light on permanently even though the power steering appears to be working.

I have purchased a good quality cable and downloaded the free software from Ross-Tech.

2 questions  - what are the advantages of registering and payiny 99$ ?

Will  this cable work on other cars (eg my 02 reg pugeout 307) or will I need completely new software?

You can log all the engine sensor while unregistered. However you can only read the first x error codes.
