Driver side puddle lights not working

Featured Replies

Ive read all the topics and ive checked for water and its all dry. But the puddle lights on both offside doors dont work on my car an neither do either under mirror lights

All the rest work, interior, foot well plus nearside puddles.

Im looking to know is there a specific fuse to check or any other known wiring problems. Ive looked in manual but not seeing which fuse to check

You didn't specify the year/trim level but my guess is that door open microswitch is faulty.

Another update. There is moisture under the carpet. But not much.

Also. When the passenger door is open the glovebox lights up. There is another plug but no light for it to connect to.

And the heater temp sensor was hanging loose, dont know where this goes.

There are two places to look if water is involved.

1. Behind the lower 'A' pillar trim - there are connection blocks there.

2. Behind the driver side door card.

Hi. Can you just explain exactly where you mean for both of the above please? iv'e have the same mirror/interior light trouble for ages (but subsequently sorted out the water coming in behind the driver seat) but just never got round to sorting out restoring the lights.

Interestingly, the actual interior lights work with the button pressed (ie, manually), just not when the doors open! Hoping if i look where you refer to above will help me sort it out without taking the door off!

Thanks
