Radio reception

Featured Replies

Anyone else found the FM reception to be pretty awful on their new octavia? Obviously it has DAB which is great most of the time, but when not using DAB mine is so bad you can barely listen to it!

Not got mine yet but that's interesting to know. Saying that I'm in an area which is a bit hit and miss for radio anyway as just too close to France!

I found the reception just the opposite.......on my old mk2 it was more than awful....but the new one (without DAB) , has great reception, when compared to old mk2 stream radio, its quite stellar:)

Both FM and DAB reception is fine in the sunny North East.

DAB perfectly clear, FM as clear as any FM radio signal in any other car.

Dab fine with me in herts,

Posted about a problem a few weeks ago, but was told it was down to the weather (which is just as nice now) but not had any of those problems since.

DAB and FM ok in east kent. I've had DAB drop out due to driving through a valley but it automatically switched to FM with little interruption. Radio never cut out or any problems on drive back from Nottingham when I got the car.

i've used dab and fm  in east and west yorks. no problems with either.

Reviving this thread as I'm really starting to suffer with poor reception with my Octavia.

Round the outskirts of Edinburgh, Bigger Road, M6 the DAB and FM reception is woeful especially Capital.  Anyone else noticed this?

Having a lot of problems with it since the bad weather hit, both DAB/FM are pretty hit & miss at the moment with more than a few stations being unavailable with the no transmitter symbol on the display.

Hopefully that should be rectified in the next few days leading upto the new year. Especially as I miss Gold.

Have to agree with the above :)

Tuned mine in today, with station logos etc and it has to be the best radio that I have had in any car to date. I was surprised at the range of DAB stations available.

I find being on the coast fm is better than dab for a couple of my local radio stations.

Had no problem with FM. DAB drops out on parts of the M40 but fine everywhere else I've been.
