Proud owner of Skoda Fabia 1.2 TDI

Featured Replies

After much deliberation on which hatchback to consider I finally zeroed in on Skoda Fabia. The other cars on my mind before buying this were Honda Jazz, Suzuki Swift, Renault Pulse and VW Polo. The first three cars just didn't match the build quality of Polo and Fabia.

Fabia was just more roomier and the beige interiors were more to my taste compared to the Polo.

The car was delivered on my birthday - 05 March!!

The drive is extremely good in city conditions with the 1.2 TDI courtesy good low end torque and perfect gear shifts. I had to get used to the diesel engine for the initial two weeks or so.

The standout features of Fabia is its handling and build quality. Although my variant is the Ambiente which is devoid of ABS and Airbags, the steering response is about perfect. Roads in my country are horrible in many places and this car can handle such terrain pretty well.

Till date I have done 5900 kms. Had to get strut kit replaced recently as the car went through a pathetic pothole. Thankfully it was done free of cost as the vehicle still under warranty.

Got the following after-market components installed:

1. JVC AV60BT Head Unit

2. JBL rear speakers

3. Cerwin Vega 360W front speakers, tweeters

4. Cerwin Vega amplifier, sub-woofer

5. Monte Carlo edition fog lamps

6. VRS badge

7. Skoda in-line alloys 15"

Looking out for years of fun, enjoyable and memorable driving experience with the Fabia!
