As above, my first non-Ford for about 20 years.

Bought to replace a 1996 Mondeo 4x4 as Ford stopped doing the 4x4 after 1996.

Need the 4x4 to get up the hill to home in the snow ! and didn't want a great big offroad type 4x4.

 

Late 2001 model, 120k miles, one owner from new and full service history.

I suspect i paid a bit much for it but it was only 5 mins from work,  i liked the metallic green paintwork (matches my Quantum kit car) and it drove perfectly.

 

The only downside is the Beige/Yellow (what colour is it supposed to be ?) interior, that will be the topic for my 2nd post here, wanted, grey interior.

Welcome to Briskoda, Jim, from an ex-2002 Octavia 1.8T 4X4 Estate owner. They really are very capable cars - and even more so when remapped.
