I am in similar situation and found lots of info on this forum, you just have to read and pick out the relevant bits...and understand the terminology, what you currently have and what you need!

If you don't want to do any fitting, I found and spoke to these guys, all very helpful.

Or, if you want to fit yourself, apart from ebay, this is a popular place to buy the BT kit.  Again, email them, they are very helpful and will point you in the right direction of which BT kit suits you best.

Worth following through this thread as it is the same if not, very similar.

Think when the chap said "do a search", he may have meant on this forum as it has been covered.

Hope this helps

Regards

Op didn't mention having MFD as I have

I did read that thread the other day. But like you say his set up may well be different. :(

Thanks

That's what I'm trying to do but want Original equipment not aftermarket kits.

For some reason links are not showing on here unless I quote. Will have a gander later on pc.

Thanks for the reply.

Your car is a Limited Edition which I think has the facelift interior?  If so and it has the newer MFD/maxidot you have the option of the premium kits from carsystems.pl (or Ebay occasionally) with full functionality.

I have a pre-facelift with Columbus and although my bluetooth doesn't integrate with the maxidot/MFD, the integration with the head unit is great and it was dead easy to fit.

5K0 035 730D or 5N0 035 730D (or higher letters) kits all work fine with all phones, including streaming.  The 5N0 kit allows RSAP as well as HFP which for certain phones, means the car takes over the SIM.  Apparently this allows text to be read on the display (if you really think that is a good idea) and it saves battery.  The 5K0 which I have, is HFP only.  This works with all phones, but doesn't (even on newer MFDs I believe) have text functionality.
