CR Engine Differences

Featured Replies

Gentleman what are the fundamental differences between the CR150 fitted to an SE or an Elegance and the CR180 fitted to the VRS?

Are there hardware differences or is it just mapping?

On the basis of the mk2 140 to 170 I would at least expect turbo and injector differences.

CR150 and CD180......are you referring to the latest Mk3 Octavia?

Why is this just addressed to the Gents ?  I bet Sabine Schmitt could answer this one.

Ah fair enough. I wonder it it was just a mapping thing.

yeah i was (that's all i could configure on the Skoda website) but assumed (clearly wrongly) that the hardware had been carried over from the mk2

True. Very sexist of me.

Any birds out there know the exact differneces? :D

To be honest the equiry isn't even Octavia based. I was looking at a Seat Ibiza CR140 and was wondered what the differences were...

never mind though

It kind of was.....Mk2's from 2010 had the CR engines. But they were CR140 and CD170.

I assume the newer CR150 and CR180 have tweaks to ensure euro 6 emission compliance.
