Radiator leaking, excellent dealer service!

Featured Replies

Funnily after ordering a new vRS on Monday this happens, think my car might be jealous!

After finding a puddle under car and header tank empty last night I called out Skoda assistance, an hour later an RAC guy came out and confirmed it as probably the radiator leaking. Luckily it's only a slight leak so it's ok to drive and just needed topping up.

Took it my local Skoda dealer this morning (Lightcliffe of Warrington). They got it straight on the ramps, took the under tray off and confirmed that the radiator is leaking. They ordered a new one are will be fitting it under warranty in the morning :)

Well that didn't go well!

Mechanics stripped my car, picked up new radiator, opened box and the wrong radiator was in the box, yet the box was correctly labelled!

Stuck in a awful fabia now until Tuesday! :(

Spoke too soon then!

Least its under warranty, a lot of dealers would try to worm their way out of a leaking raditor repair claiming fair wear and tear (stone damage, corrosion etc.)

an awful fabia

I can vouch for that. Not even remotely in the same league as the Octavia.

The story continues.....

Second radiator arrived this morning, they fitted it, filled it with coolant the it's leaking..... The new one has a crack in it! They've ordered another for tomorrow morning and will get right on it. It's been sat on one of their lifts since Saturday and they're desperate to get it moved and I'm desperate to get rid of this Fabia!!

Some mileage saved if nothing else!
