Citigo asg - first drive!

Well... Sitting in the dealer having a chat and a cup of tea after signing the paperwork for my new citigo elegance when the salesman says "fancy having a go in the asg? It's hillarious!" Well who can refuse!

So went outside to a silver SE, threw the key to me over the car, llike in a film, and said try not to laugh!

Well IT WAS AMAZING!!!

The suspension was smooth, car was quiet and all seamed good. Drove out of the gate and towards the main road. All seamed good under gentle acceleration, smooth change with small hesitation as it changed up but very good for a small car.

Then pulled out onto a roundabout, no hesitation from the gearbox and smooth again!

Then the fun and laughing started!!! I accelerated off of the roundabout onto the dual carriageway and as the gearbox changed up I got whiplash from the kangaroo-Ing!

I carried on accelerating reasonably hard and same again!

Well I found this hilarious! And a massive smile on my face! At the next roundabout I I had he hang of the gearbox. As the car went to change up, I released the throttle slightly, and hey presto no lurching! Infant is was a smooth as the hydraulic auto I used to drive!

So all in all I would give the auto 9/10. Still a bit sluggish on the gear change but still beautiful to drive!
