Engine management light has come on a few hours after Mot done.

Car seems to be normal (no loss of power and no strange noises)

I have an 08 170pd vrs.

Is this coincidence or would something have been unplugged when Mot being done?

nothing should be "dismantled" during the mot   but it would seem more than coincidence   I would get the codes read first  vag-com for pref'

Maybe it didn't like the "full throttle" smoke test.      VCDS scan should tell you.

Took car back to garage and they checked it over found fault code for central locking that has possibly brought on engine management light,but also found another fault code that there computer could not read.I was told only skoda dealer computer could read.Engine management light was reset and stayed off for about 1 day but has come back on.

Garage also said car was running ok.

Looks like i am having to book into a dealer.
