clicking noise from passenger foot well

Featured Replies

Hi I've noticed that there is a clicking noise coming from the passenger foot well when the engine is turned off and I'm sat in the car any one else had this

Is your car fited with climate control?

I have this too. It's done it from new so I'm not bothered about it after 7 years. Mine doesn't have Climate control.

Its can be the sound of one of the motor flaps shuting. Mine does it every so often.

Don't think its that if I sit in the car for a while with the engine off there is a clicking if I press the alarm button next to me it seems to stop for a while not sure if this is what drained my battery last week while I was away.

Oh ok. Sory I wasnt of help.

Is the battery itself ok? I have known very flat batteries to cause relays to click repeatedly if the voltage has dropped a lot. Equally though, a relay which is clicking on when it isn't supposed to will flatten even a healthy battery!

Bit of a chicken and egg situation really, but the battery is the easiest and cheapest thing to check first. If its the original battery on a 2006 car it may well be due for replacement anyway.
