fan control ecu plugs (removal)

Featured Replies

What is the technique for removing the plus please. I have managed to shift the 4 point plug but cant work out the big plug? I want to swap it onto my Leon to see if this cures my air con problem

What is the air con problem? Mine was never cool and my car would overheat in bad traffic. Swapped the fans, which is a PITA to do as I had to pull the whole front off (crashbar included) to get clearance. Eventually isolated problem to the fuses on top of the battery as one of them looked fine from the top but on removal the pins were cracked in corrosion. Quick clean with emery cloth and AC was fine again an no more overheating.

My leon's compressor isnt kicking in. No power going to clutch. Diagnosed by AC specialist as the Fan ECU. Wanted to double check by swapping the octavia and seat ones over

anyone know how to get these plugs off without snapping them?

don't know the exact one but pushing in before squeezing the lock then pulling out often helps
