All the ones I've seen have been amber plastic.

 

IIRC the ones from a VW Sharan will fit with a minor adjustment to the car with a file. (Can't recall who found this one out though.) You can get these in clear with amber bulb.

No, polo indicators are totally different, you could make anything fit if you were good at bodywork though.
