Anyone seen this intercooler upgrade?

Featured Replies

Won't fit the Fabia unfortunately.

Well straight fit, could possibly fit with some modification, tbh if your going to spend that amount then you may as well get a FMIC. Don't forget there's VAT and shipping on Darksides prices which is where some people get caught out!

that's a shame. :(

Thought I might actually get rid of boost side pipe problems for good.

What issues are you having? I never had any with mine, only fitted a FMIC for performance :)

I've got all my standard hoses sitting in the shed. Not once did they blow off or anything.

I'm having trouble with the 90 intercooler hose just behind the undertray.

Replaced it two years ago and now it's ready to pop again.

I also need to replace the aluminium pipe that it joins on to.

The ones that goes from the silver pipe to the intercooler? I've got a spare one of those!

Haven't got the silver pipe though, I cut mine up as I haven't quite finished the intercooler piping yet - waiting till it goes in for the new turbo.

thanks for the offer, but if i can i think i'm going to replace all with aftermarket.

My mates got this on his golf and his got 202 hp and he get bad heat soak

thanks for the offer, but if i can i think i'm going to replace all with aftermarket.

Pretty sure Forge do all aftermarket hoses and the couplers etc, will work out pretty dear though.

If someone would design a set of replacement houses for the whole system that would be great! I know the top pipes have a decent write up on replacements but not the bottom.

Cheers

sure does deigned to replace the standard hose from turbo the alloy pipe and 90deg hose into intercooler

removes the 2 centre connectors and allows engine to move so pipe isnt stressed.

Best money ive spent with match top pipe
