Jacking Pads

Featured Replies

This may be of interest to all of you who own a set of winter tyres or do a lot of maintenance on your yeti`s.

As a ex scirocco owner and member of scirocco central i fitted these audi jacking pads to making working at my scirocco much easier and safer. I was never a fan of using a trolley jack to jack a car up on the positions designated for the factory jack. With the yeti being that much taller this is in my mind a far better solution. Hopefully it will also prevent sill damage when the yeti goes into a garage and they use a 4 post lift, as they can use these points instead.

Having checked underneath my new yeti the points are still there as I had hoped as skoda uses the same golf platform. The parts i kept from my old scirocco and hope to fit them to the new car this week.

I used the jacking pads from the Audi S3 as they have the larger plastic area on the fronts which cover the underbody cut outs nicely.

I hope the guys from scirocco central dont mind me reposting this guide in the hope it is of interest and help to others.

These have been posted around these forums before and there is a debate as to whether they can damage the car as there has been at least one report of someone bending their chassis using these jacking points, as they're designed for 4 post jacks only.

I just wish manufacturers put trolley jacking points into the design!
