New car 'detail'

Featured Replies

Wife and I bought a new to us Rapid a couple of weeks ago so i thought I'd give it a bit of a clean at the weekend. We;ve never had a white car before, I can see why now! There's some fallout on the rear bumper, even though it had Lifeshine treatment applied by the dealership (I did't pay anything for it), so I need to invest in some Iron X or equivalent.

New pressure washer is on order, contemplating a snow foam lance too...

Not up to any of your standards but it's a start (ish) :)

Looks pretty smart to me! Poor doggy having to watch lol I know he/she is thinking of finding a nice bit of mud to roll in and then shake right next to it haha!

Iron-X / Iron out are both good products.  Stinks like rotten eggs but works well. :D

Looks very nice

Good effort

When you come to using Iron-X or similar, spray it over all the body panels - you'll be amazed at what it shows up ;)

P.s don't apply in direct sunlight or leave it to dry!

Once you've decontaminated the paintwork, get some sealer rather than wax..it will shine better on a white car

Many out there to choose

Any recommendations, I like shiny!

Optimum Optiseal

Wolfs Body Wrap/Nano Paint Sealant

Poorboys EX-P

Werkstat  Jett

All great on White/Silver cars

Any of the above but if you go for Optimum OptiSeal then that is very easy to apply. If it's easy application you want then I'll also throw GTechniq c2v3 into the mix as you get easy application and a very durable product to boot
