Nearly New Rapid Prices.

Featured Replies

Been looking at nearly new Rapid prices on line, primarily at SE and Elegance TDi's in either Corrida Red or Candy White and there seems to be good and not so good ones!

Makes you wonder if it is worth travelling half across the country for the right car. Obviously some dealer want to move cars more than others?

Examples.

Thanks for the link! Theres certain dealers around here who certainly dont like giving much away. Sod`s law always dictates that the car you want in the spec you want is always miles away anyway, but if your saving a few grand, that journey is certainly worth it!

I have another year to go on my finance and like women, there is no harm in looking!! I have to say I am waiting for A) The new Rapid Spaceback and B) New Fabia III.

But these nearly new Rapids are tempting!

There is a gentleman around these parts who drove from Cornwall to Northumberland and back in one day recently to collect a Superb :giggle:

We probably won't see pics of the new Fabia until about this time next year so I guess it depends how much you like the Spaceback when it comes out..

Definitely pays to travel. Furthest I've gone is 160 miles each way, which ended up basically been a whole day to buy and a whole day the next week to collect but was worth it.

Seems with the Rapid they've over supplied the diesels as there seems to be bucket loads of heavily discounted and nearly new 1.6 TDIs needing a home. TSIs are a little thinner on the ground and as such don't have quite as much money shaved off.

The SEAT Toledo is worth a look too if you don't mind the badge and looks. Motorpoint have a selection of 62-plate 1.6 TDI SE models with options up for £11,299 - http://www.motorpoint.co.uk/VehicleSearch/Seat/Toledo

I wont be looking at a replaceent car until this time next year anyway which is spot on for the new Fabia III!! Just making observations on the vaue of Rapids.

Id imagine beause they are heavily discounted you are unlikely to get a good trade in.....

Picked up my SE 1.2 TSI for £11,500 as a pre reg with delivery millage on it (mine's pre spec upgrade so no climate control or front fogs) but still got £1.5k trade in on my 11 year old Fabia.

Admittedly that was because the dealer thought I was playing hardball when actually I'd only ever intended to just take a look and wasn't biting on their offer of finance, but it does show they have a fair amount of 'wiggle room'.

Was a nice surprise when I arranged finance at a better rate to pay the full £11.5k price to find they honoured the trade in offer (which had gradually increased from £250 to £1.5k during the 'discussions')
